A nice hike to Sedburgh

Sedburgh is England's book town. We wanted to follow the Dales Way, but it was still rather damp, so our host at the B*B suggested we take the path to the left of the road. This got us up rather high along the valley and we had marvellous views. Along the way we saw a row of sheep eating through the fence.

The weather was wonderful. Some small periods of showers. Sedburgh is a lovely village full of bookshops. We stopped in one recommended and bought several books. We had a lovely lunch at the Three Hares and bought some coffee to take home because it was so good. We also stopped at the real estate agent's next door to see what was available.

We walked home using a different route along the other side of the valley to get a different perspective.

For dinner we found out everything was closed. Thankfully, the B&B owner made us some sandwiches and we had some other food left over. We ended up just staying in the room and not going to quiz night - we were exhausted and enjoyed the rest. Today, February 22, 2022, we hiked 11.1 miles.
