Arriving in Mysterious Kathmandu

Today, September 17, I flew from Arusha and Kilimanjaro Airport to Kathmandu. It was nice to get out of Africa and have some time to myself. The flight was bittersweet as I had to say goodbye to Kilimanjaro when we flew past it. We had one stop in Dar es Salaam after about 50 minutes which was uneventful. A big city on the sea which is supposed to have beautiful beaches, but wasn't particularly interested to stop there.

On the connection I had a very refreshing mint drink on the plane - mint with sparkling water. They also had pink champagne. It is very exciting to go to mysterious Katmandu. My frame of reference is the Marvel movie - Dr. Strange - so am expecting a mind bending experience! We flew over the main city which looks very crowded. Unfortunately, the clouds were in and we couldn't see the Himalayas.
