First Hike in Gozo - Cliffs to Mgarr

Our first full day in Gozo was February 23, 2021 and we took a hike to, and along the cliffs of, Mgarr. The weather was wonderful! We saw some interesting flowers and cactus. We went down a very steep trail to an inlet where we saw some ducks swimming in the sea - I didn't know they did that! Then, of course, we had to hike back up a very steep hillside, but, as a result, we were able to start walking along the cliffs. The sea was beautiful blue and was enjoyable. Return was almost the same track, so had to go down to the inlet and back up the steep stairs, but then went right to continue along the coast. We were able to get close to one of the watch towers built in the mid-1600s to raise the alarm if they saw any enemy ships approaching.
