Dubrovnik is a wonderful medieval walled city on the Adriatic Sea that has had a violent past, everything from the Viennese, Ottomans, Bosnians, etc. most recently it is famous as being in just about all 8 seasons of Game of Thrones. The weather is is hot (29) and sunny.
Today’s blog title is a parody of the ad campaign for milk (got milk?). We started the day taking a GOT tour of the old town. Where we saw many of the sites used in the series. Several of the photos you see in the video show the actual scenery with the GOT scene. I guess the series was very expensive to film as they filmed in the tourist season and paid local businesses to close the entire old town. I would have been quite angry if I came then only to be told I couldn’t see the sites….
We came back to the hotel where some of the actors stayed- the Hilton Imperial. You can see the hotel, as well as our beautiful view.
I did a stair stepper workout for an hour and then we proceeded to walk the city walls- only to find out there were 1000 steps there. I really felt I had my workout for the day.
To end the day we had a romantic dinner at EZZA, a wonderful steak restaurant where I had a cosmopolitan to start and an espresso martini to end. We are outside which got cold as soon as the sun went down- luckily they offered blankets:)
2 other notes: silly people like to cliff jump near beja beach- I was able to get a video of that.
There are lots of nice cats here and locals feed them. I got a shot of 2 of them
