The Shipwright's Way is a 50 mile long distance long distance path stretching from Bentley Station to the Portsmouth Harbor rail station. So far I have walked from Borden to Petersfield. Chris got tickets for Wednesday at Portsmouth Harbor, so we decided to try a new tradition and try walking to the Wednesday games. In this case, we walked for 4 days from Liss to Portsmouth Harbor.

We started on December 3 hiking about 11 miles from Liss to near The Queen Elizabeth Country Park. The weather was rather overcast and cold. We took a break at an old pub in Sheet where we had a light lunch and drinks. The hike led up through an area with beautiful views of the rolling countryside and a cute sculpture of a sheep and down around the charming hamlet of Buriton. Our Hotel was a pub called The Hampshire Hog.
The Hog was a pleasant surprise. The room was larger than anticipated and they had a nice welcome basket which included crisps, local cider, chocolate, and cookies. We had dinner at the Pub and found out that it was Elvis Presley night. Luckily we ended dinner before the floor show. Dinner was Steak and Ale pies which were quite nice.
