Mount Leinster, one of the Blackstairs Mountains, is the 5th highest mountain (2605 feet) in the province in Leinster, the most populous province in Ireland (in 2016, at least). Its original Irish name meant "the seat or meeting place of the men of Leinster" - original, right?
It was only a 3 mile hike, round trip, but was pretty much straight up.
When I was there I was able to see a hang glider who really got his money's worth - he was able to hang just above the summit for quite awhile.
Views were tremendous and I could see all the way to the Irish Sea and across neighboring counties. I couldn't quite see Wales, but I understand it is possible on a good day. The other side of the informational sign seen here had an amazing number of dead flies under the glass - Now I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of it:)
The image to the right is a stone circle at the top of the mountain with a fairy image near the top.
