Trooperstown Hill - The Heather Smelled Heavenly

Today took a 7.5 mile hike up and around Trooperstown Hill, about 1200 feet altitude increase. I didn't expect much, but the upper loop turned out to be lovely. All the heather was in bloom and smelled really wonderful - just like honey. The views would have been fabulous if the weather coordinated, unfortunately, was very humid and there was a lot of heat haze. There was not supposed to be any rain, but ran into a lot of it on the drive home. Maybe my timing was fortunate and I got to the car just before the downpour....
