Well, we got here on 3/6/22 and managed to be first off the plane to go through the health checks. There we had to wait because the lab was backed up. Finally we got through to the health checkin desk only to find that our health passport had expired 2 hours earlier. Luckily, we had all our documentation online and were able to get a new one done and luckily the desk attendants were patient while we did it.
Then we stood in another line where we did our PCR test and got our pseudo-lobotomy as they took the sample. Finally, we stood in the last line to get through passport control and were allowed in the country.
Our follow on flight is tomorrow at 7:20, but we don’t expect our results back before then, so we checked with LATAM and they didn’t seem concerned, so off to the hotel - Airport Holiday Inn.
Our room isn’t ready yet, so we are in the bar having our first Pisco Sours - and, boy, are they great!!
