Carromore Megalithic Cemetery houses a large group of megalithic monuments near Sligo, Ireland. They were built in the 4th millennium BCE, during the Neolithic era. From this Cemetery you can see Queen Maeve's Cairn. The whole area is fascinating - more more information check out www.megalithicireland.com
Megalithic tombs in Ireland are a "thing" and will be posting a mashup of all the tombs I've seen. They include court cairns, passage tombs, portal dolmens and wedge tombs. These are in the West of Ireland. Soon I'll be posting from the Boyne Valley (Eastern Ireland) home of Newgrange - watch this space.

This is the "top down" view from Queen Maeve's Cairn. Hiking up was easy:) Below is more information about the area and all the megalithic action.
